Primárním cílem práce je zjistit, do jaké míry výše vybrané faktory ovlivňují úroveň přírodovědné gramotnosti žáků ve 4. a 5. třídách základních škol. Teoretickou část práce bude tvořit rešerše odborné literatury reflektující aktuální ukotvení vybrané problematiky na výzkumném poli. Směrem k naplnění cíle výzkumu bude v empirické části práce pozornost věnována statistickému zpracování a prezentování dat získaných na vybraných základních školách. Data budou primárně získávána za využití uvolněných úloh TIMSS obohacených o záznam soudů jistoty (a), nástroj Social independence scale, který bude před zahájením hlavního výzkumného šetření valadizován pro námi zvolené věkové skupiny (b) a nástroj Epistemic Beliefs About Science určený učitelům (c). V závěrečné části práce budou dané výsledky předkládány v usouvztažnění k soudobým empirickým zjištěním vyplývajících z již realizovaných výzkumů a následně budou formulovány návrhy pro další výzkumná šetření. The main topics of the present dissertation are science literacy, social dependency theory and metacognitive monitoring of students. In this thesis, the primary aim is to determine to what extent the above selected factors influence the level of science literacy of pupils in the 4th and 5th grades of primary schools. Part of the theoretical part of the thesis will consist of a literature search reflecting the current anchoring of the selected issue in the research field. The empirical part of the thesis will focus on the statistical processing and presentation of the data collected in the selected primary schools. The data will be collected primarily using theTIMSS items enriched with the Judgments of Certainty record (a), the Social Independence Scale instrument that will be validated for our selected age groups prior to the main survey (b), and the Epistemic Beliefs About Science instrument for teachers (c). The final part of the thesis will present the given results in relation to current empirical findings resulting from already implemented research and then suggestions for further research investigations will be formulated.
