Tolkiena" se zabývá výzkumem symboliky Jednoho prstenu a snaží se interpretovat jeho význam a vliv na jednotlivé postavy, které se objevují v dílech Hobit a Pán prstenů. Tato práce poskytuje informace o těchto dvou epických románech, které napsal anglický spisovatel John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. První část práce je věnována J. J. R. Tolkienovi a jeho nejvýznamnějším dílům. Druhá část je zaměřena na historii, moc a symboliku Jednoho prstenu. Třetí část se zabývá vlivem Jednoho prstenu na vybrané postavy, jako je Frodo, a pokouší se zjistit, zda Prsten ovlivňuje jejich chování. Tato práce poskytuje analýzu symboliky Jednoho prstenu a pokouší se zjistit, do jaké míry Prsten ovlivňuje vůli a volby vybraných postav. This Bachelor thesis titled "Analysis of the One Ring in selected works of J. R. R. Tolkien" deals with the research of the symbolic nature of the One Ring and tries to interpret its meaning and its influence on individual characters who appear in the novels The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. This work provides information about both of these two epic fantasy novels which were written by an English author John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. The first part of this thesis is devoted to J. R. R. Tolkien and also to his most significant works. The second part is focused on the history, power and symbolism of the One Ring. The third part deals with the One Ring's influence on selected characters, such as Frodo, and tries to determine whether the One Ring has an influence on their behaviour. This thesis aims to provide an analysis of the symbolic meaning of the One Ring and tries to examine to what extent the One Ring influences the will and choices of the selected characters.
