Po počátečním stručném představení historických událostí, které ovlivňovaly pohled Evropanů na Východ, přibližuje horizonty poznání středověkých lidí. Dále představuje samotný pojem div a jevy, které představuje a naposled ukazuje možnosti využití typologické metody v praxi uplatněním na vybrané staročeské texty. Prameny pro tuto práce jsou překlady dvou cestopisů čtených ve velké části Evropy a dva rytířské romány, které vznikly během 14. století. This bachelor thesis is atempting to introduce medieval structure of wonders and in the same time certify employability of typological method. After brief introduction of historical background, that shaped European opinion on the East, it shows horizonts of cognition proces of medieval society. It also provides a closer look on the idea of wonder and phenomenons, that are representeted by this word. In the end it's trying to show real possibilities of typological aplication in practice on selected texts. Historical sources which we use in this thesis are two translations of travel narratives famous in most of Europe and two texts of courtly culture. All the texts are selected works of 14th century.
