První část práce je věnována autorovu životu v totalitním Československu, jeho emigraci do Rakouska, se kterou také souvisí přechod do jiného literárního jazyka a následně bude autor představen jako lyrický a prozaický autor. Ve druhé části práce je analyzován jeho povídkový soubor Fremde Frauen, který obsahuje dva příběhy: Bernardette a Francesca. Při analýze bude kladen zvláštní zřetel na téma odcizenosti, migrace a interkulturní aspekty. Obě povídky budou následně porovnány z hlediska postav, témat a motivů, a také bude porovnán německojazyčný titul Fremde Frauen s jeho českým překladem Cizinky. Při analýze bude použit povídkový soubor Fremde Frauen, recenze a vlastní interview s autorem. This thesis deals with foreign experiences in work of contemporary Austrian author of Czech origin Stanislav Struhar. First part of this work deals with author´s life in totalitarian Czechoslovakia, his emigration to Austria to which is related transition to different literary language and the author is then introduced as lyric and prosaic author. Second part of this work analyses his short stories Fremde Frauen which contains two stories: Bernardette and Francesca. The analysis focuses on alienation, migration and intercultural aspects. The both stories are then compared from it´s characters´view, themes and motives and there is also compared the original german version of Fremde Frauen with it´s Czech translation Cizinky.
