Okres Ústí nad Labem je dlouhodobě postižen jednou z nejvyšších nezaměstnaností v ČR. Teoretická část práce se zabývá její definicí, jejími druhy podle několika kritérií a také jejím měřením. Praktická část se zabývá analýzou nezaměstnanosti v okrese Ústí nad Labem po roce 1989 do současnosti. Je zde uveden vývoj míry nezaměstnanosti a také změny ve struktuře uchazečů o zaměstnání dle pohlaví, věku, vzdělání a délky evidence na úřadech práce. This thesis focuses on the problem of unemployment in Ústí nad Labem district. Unemployment in this district has been one of the highest in the Czech Republic for a long time. The practical part deals with the analysis of unemployment in Ústí nad Labem dictrict after 1989, up to present. It displays the development of the extent of unemployment as well as the changes in the structure of the job applicants according to gender, age, education and how long they were registred at the social security office.
