Ve své práci se zabývám změnami, se kterými se senioři musí v této životní etapě vypořádat, věnuji se kvalitě života seniorů a zaměřuji se na přijímací proces v DpS Bukov. Pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu a metody polostrukturovaného rozhovoru a také studiem dokumentů jsem zjišťovala, jaký dopad na seniory měl jejich přechod z domácího prostředí do prostředí rezidenčního, a na základě získaných informací jsem vytvořila vlastní návrhy opatření, které by mohly přispět k optimalizaci adaptačního procesu. Šetřením bylo zjištěno, že senioři zvládli adaptaci v DpS Bukov celkem bez velkých problémů, ale rezervy shledávám v přístupu personálu v souvislosti s náročností administrativy spojené s přijetím do domova pro seniory a také v možnostech častějších osobních kontaktů personálu s klienty. The topic of my bachelor thesis is the adaptation of seniors to the transfer to a retirement home. In my thesis I address the changes that seniors have to deal with in this part of their lives, I take a look at the quality of life of those seniors and I focus on the entrance process in DpS Bukov. Using qualitative research and the method of semi-structured interview and also by studying documents I was finding out what effect did the transfer from the home environment to the residence environment have on the seniors, and based on the information I got I made my own suggestions of precautions that could contribute to an optimisation of the adaptation process. Using the research, it was found out that the seniors have handled the adaptation in DpS Bukov more or less without a problem, but I find possibilities of improvement in the attitude of the staff regarding the difficulty of office work related to the acceptance into the retirement home, and also in the possibilities of more frequent personal contact of staff and clients.
