Název a text práce v anglickém jazyce Abstract Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku sémantiky anglických předložek. A zkoumá tuto problematiku z různých úhlů pohledu. Dále se dívá na to, jaký prostor předložkám dávají autoři učebnic, které patří mezi nejpoužívanější učebnice, a to nejen u nás. Dále se soustředí na různé pohledy na problematiku předložek. Mezi hlavní a velmi důležitý pohled je v této diplomové práci považována kognitivní perspektiva, jejímu vysvětlení je také věnován prostor. Na základě pracovních zkušeností autora byla vybrána jedna anglická předložka to. Tato předložka a její významy jsou popsány z pohledu různých autorů a dána do kontrastu s předložkou into. Pro zkoumání výrazu to byl vybrán Korpus časopisu TIME, který byl podmíněn kvantitativní a kvalitativní analýze. Součástí této diplomové práce je také uvedení kognitivní perspektivy, jejích principů do praxe a představení tohoto pohledu vybrané skupince studentů. This thesis focuses on the issue of semantics of English prepositions. It examines this issue from different perspectives. Furthermore, it looks at what space is given to prepositions in textbooks, which are among the most widely used textbooks not only in our country. Also, focus on the different views on the issue of prepositions is included. The main and over - riding perspective in this thesis is designed to be of a cognitive nature- an explanation of this is included. Based on the work experience of the author, the English preposition to has been selected for attention. This preposition and its meanings are described in context of various authors and viewed in contrast with the preposition into. To investigate the expression to, a corpus of TIME magazine was subjected to quantitative and qualitative analysis. A part of this thesis is also devoted to putting cognitive perspective and principles into practice.
