Vymezuje jednotlivé pojmy a definice týkající se problematiky stáří a stárnutí. Autorka se zaměřuje na samotný průběh adaptace na roli seniora, který žije samostatně mimo pobytová zařízení jako jsou například domovy pro seniory. Velmi důležitou částí práce jsou návrhy opatření vedoucích k usnadnění procesu této adaptace. Respondenti, se kterými byl veden rozhovor o adaptaci na roli seniora, uvádějí, jak se sami s procesem vyrovnali a jaké pozitivní a negativní faktory adaptace je ovlivňovali. Cílem této práce je uvést i vlastní návrhy opatření vedoucí k optimálnímu průběhu procesu adaptace na roli seniora, které vycházejí z odborné literatury a sebraných rozhovorů se seniory. Kdy tato opatření by mohla přispět k efektivnějšímu životu seniorů v období adaptace na svou roli. This thesis deals with the process of adaptation to the role of senior, which is also the name itself of work. It defines the various concepts and definitions relating to issues of old age and aging. The author focuses on the actual course of adaptation to the role of a senior who lives alone outside of residential facilities such as homes for the elderly. Very important part of this thesis is suggestions of measures leading to facilitate the process of adaptation. Respondents with which author was interviewed about adaptation to the role of senior, show how they with the process themselves settled and what positive and negative factors influencing the adaptation. The aim of this thesis is to introduce author´s own suggestions measures to optimum the course of procedures adaptation to the role of senior, that are based on the literature and collected interviews with seniors.
