V teoretické části autorka seznamuje čtenáře se současným stavem výuky finanční gramotnosti na základních školách i s postojem institucí spojených s finančním trhem k prevenci finanční negramotnosti a následných možných patologických jevů z ní vyplývající. V praktické části se autorka snaží zjistit úroveň finanční gramotnosti žáků vycházejících ze základní školy a jejich schopnost identifikovat možná nebezpečí plynoucí ze zadlužení a ze špatného nakládání s penězi. Výzkum byl proveden pomocí dotazníkového šetření a následně analyticky zpracován. Jako další podpůrnou metodou výzkumu byl zvolen rozhovor s paní učitelkou vyučující předmět finanční gramotnost na jedné ze zúčastněných škol. This thesis deals with the question of financial literacy of students from years 9 at primary schools and on the other hand it discusses the impact of financial illiteracy on students' future lives. The aim of the theoretical part is to familiarize the readers with the current status of teaching financial literacy in primary schools and also with the attitude of different institutions, which are connected with the financial market, to the prevention of financial illiteracy and so with the possible pathology, which may follow. In the empirical part the author tries to find out the level of financial literary of pupils who are to leave the primary education and also their ability to identify possible danger consequent the debts and a mismanagement of money. Data for the research were collected within nine-class-students in three different schools and then it was analytically processed.
