Příčinou byla nejprve válka a poválečný odsun německého obyvatelstva, následně nástup komunistického režimu a totální likvidace obcí a města Mostu kvůli povrchové těžbě hnědého uhlí. Prostřednictvím uměleckých děl je zkoumána identita této průmyslové krajiny a jejích obyvatel. Téma se však také úzce dotýká fenoménů paměti a domova. Díla vyzařující náladu podivné romantiky a krásy zmaru, hluboký existencialismus nebo naopak ironii sestavují pestrý obraz uměleckých pohledů na skutečnost. Vyjadřují se rozmanitými prostředky od klasické malby přes fotografii a film až po akční umění a intervenci do veřejného prostoru. Most region changed its face after the WW2radically. One of the main reasons was first the war and transfer of German population after the war, followed by the coming of comunistic regime and total liquidation of villages in Most region and the town Most itself because of the open-cast brown coal mines. With the help of pieces of art is looked into the identity of this industrial land and its inhabitants. The work also deals closely with the fenomena of memory and home. On one hand we can distinguish there a strange feeling of romance, beauty of destruciton, deep existencionalism and irony on the other. As a whole we get a manifold image of great variety of artistic points of view as far as the reality is concerned. They are expressed by various means of art -from classical paintings, photographs to film, action art and intervention into the public space. Another responsib.
