Autor se zabývá přirozeným a migračním pohybem obyvatelstva. Práce je rozdělena na 4 stěžejní kapitoly. První kapitola obsahuje stručnou charakteristiku území, ve druhé je okres Mělník porovnáván s ostatními okresy České republiky. Třetí kapitola se zabývá okresy Středočeského kraje a poslední část obsahuje demografickou analýzu na úrovni obcí okresu. V práci bylo využito především komparativní metody. Text obsahuje velké množství informací, které jsou prezentovány formou grafů, tabulek a kartogramů. Cílem práce bylo zpracování a následná interpretace demografických dat a informací. This thesis deals with demographic proportions of district of Mělník in the early 21st century. The author puts mind to natural and migratory movements of population. The work is divided into four main chapters. The first chapter contains a brief description of the territory, in the second one the district of Mělník is compared with other districts of the Czech Republic. The third chapter deals with the districts of Central Region and the final section contains a demographic analysis at the municipal district. Comparative methods are mainly used in the work. The text contains a large amount of information which are presented in the form of tables, graphs and cartograms.
