Note Ved. práce Irmgard Kolinská Abstract Tato diplomová práce představuje historii anglického jazyka se zaměřením na jeho slovní zásobu vypůjčenou z jiných jazyků. Práce obsahuje seznam jazyků, které angličtinu obohatily a poukazuje na historické události, které ovlivnily slovní zásobu. Toto je obsaženo v teoretické části práce. Praktická část obsahuje analýzu dvou textů, které prokazují četnost převzatých slov. Jeden z textů je formální, druhý neformální. Výsledky z jednotlivých textů jsou potom porovnány. The thesis presents history of English language with the focus on its vocabulary borrowed from other languages. It lists the languages which enriched English language and shows the historical events which caused the influence. This is covered in the theoretical part of the thesis. The practical part contains an analysis of two texts showing frequency of loan words. One of the texts is formal and the other one is an informal one. Then are the results compared.
