Důraz byl kladen zejména na desetiměsíční věznění ve vyhlazovacím táboře Treblinka a na povstání vězňů, jež mělo zásadní význam pro přeživší i padlé, jelikož představovalo osvobození z pocitu, že se Židé poddali zlu bez odporu. V práci jsem se také snažila zdůraznit význam Glazarova svědectví pro dnešní svět. Těmto stěžejním tématům předchází stručné seznámení s postavením Židů v Čechách před válkou a zachycení vztahu Glazarovy rodiny k židovství. Události z Glazarova života před deportací do Terezína a posléze do Treblinky ilustrují postupné vylučování Židů ze společnosti. Součástí práce je záznam rozhovoru s Glazarovou sestřenicí Irenou Ravelovou ze dne 4. září 2010, umístěný v příloze. In my thesis I tried to capture the experience of Richard Glazar with the Holocaust. The emphasis was put on a ten-month imprisonment in the extermination camp Treblinka and the revolt of prisoners, that was crucial importance for the survivors and the fallen, since it represented the exemption from the feeling that the Jews are evil without succumbing resistance. In my work I also tried to emphasize the importance of Glazar's testimony to the world today. A brief introduction to the status of Jews in Bohemia before the war and the capture Glazar's family relationship to Judaism prioritize these key events. Events of Glazar's life before being deported to Terezín and then to Treblinka illustrate the gradual elimination of the Jews from the society.
