Teoretická část zahrnuje stručný náhled do konceptu smrti a motivu obecně, dále pak literárně-historického kontextu zahrnující české národní obrození, romantismus a také život a dílo Karla Hynka Máchy. V praktické části je pak rozebrána konkrétní interpretace díla a její zaměření na motiv smrti.. -- Abstract: This bachelor's thesis deals with the work of Karel Hynek Mácha, the primarily motif of death in selected works, which are Máj, Márinka, Křivoklad, Cikáni and Pouť krkonošská. The theoretical part includes a brief insight into the concept of death and motive in general, as well as the literary-historical context including the Czech national revival, romanticism and the life and work of Karel Hynek Mácha. The practical part then analyzes specific interpretation of the work and its focus on the motive of death.
