Hra je zkoumána metodou analýzy textu s ohledem na historický kontext. V popředí stojí její témata, motivy a symboly, jako jsou symbol kamene a témata viny a útěku. Práce navíc analyzuje, jakou odezvu měla hra (konkrétně její uvedení v divadlech v Salzburgu, Berlíně, Praze a Olomouci) v německy mluvících zemích a v České republice.. -- Abstract: The thesis deals with the historical drama ''Der Stein'' (2008) of the contemporary German playwright Marius von Mayenburg (*1972). The play is analysed with regard to its historical context using the method of textual analysis. At the forefront, there are its themes, motifs and symbols, such as the stone symbol and the themes of guilt and escape. Furthermore, the thesis examines the reception of the play (namely its performances in the theatres of Salzburg, Berlin, Prague and Olomouc) in German speaking countries and in the Czech Republic.
