Problém demokratického deficitu v Evropském parlamentu / Kristýna Pultarová. -- 2016. -- 106 listů : grafy, schémata. -- Vedoucí práce Lukáš Novotný. -- Abstract: Diplomová práce je věnována problematice demokratického deficitu v Evropském parlamentu. Evropský parlament je významnou institucí EU, která je od roku 1979 volena přímo. Práce vyloží fungování Evropského parlamentu včetně jeho historie, proměn, fungování a současného působení. Zaměří se na aktuální a velmi diskutované téma demokratického deficitu v této instituci EU. Nejprve jsou vyložena relevantní teoretická východiska. Konkrétně budou rozklíčovány základní problémové body tohoto deficitu, kterými je nízká volební účast, problém reprezentace, suverenity, netransparentnosti a často diskutované subsidiarity. V práci je rovněž uvedena debata o existenci demokratického deficitu. Záměrem práce je rovněž zabývat se možnými řešeními tohoto deficitu. Zvláštní místo v mé práci má Česká republika, jejíž volební účast v posledních volbách do EP byla druhá nejnižší v EU. Práce zohledňuje přístupy politické filosofie, zejména ty související s tématem reprezentace a participace.. -- Abstract: The thesis is devoted to the issue of the democratic deficit in the European Parliament. The European Parliament is an important institution of the EU, which is since 1979 elected directly. Thesis explains the functioning of the European Parliament, including its history, transformation, function and contemporary influence. It will focus on the current and much discussed topic of the democratic deficit in the EU institution. First, they are explained relevant theoretical bases. Specifically will be sort out fundamental problem points of the deficit, which is the low voter turnout, the problem of representation, sovereignty, non-transparency and often discussed subsidiarity. The thesis also introduces debate on the existence of a democratic deficit. Intention is also to deal with possible solutions of this deficit. A special place in my text has the Czech Republic, which voter turnout in the last elections to the EP was the second lowest in the EU. Work takes into consideration the approaches of political philosophy, especially those related to the topic of representation and participation.
