Práce se částečně zabývá historií a kulturními aktivitami v Terezíně, převážně těmi, které byly spojené s hudbou. Podrobněji se práce věnuje samotnému dílu a jeho autorům. Nejdůležitější částí této práci je však analýza postav původní verze Brundibára a interpretace části textu rámcového děje, který napsala Dominique Caillat k vídeňskému představení v roce 1999. Na závěr bude zkoumáno dnešní využití této opery.. -- Abstract: The subject of this bachelor thesis is the children's opera Brundibár. This work partly deals with the history and cultural activities in Terezín, mainly with the ones connected with music. More detailed this work presents the opera itself and its authors. But the most important part of this work is the analysis of the characters from the original Brundibár and the interpretation of parts of the frame story by Dominique Caillat written for the performance of Brundibár in Vienna in 1999. The usage of this opera today is investigated in the end.
