Brežná se narodila v Československu, ale v roce 1968 emigrovala s rodinou do Švýcarska, kde dodnes žije a působí. Práce se zaměřuje na soubory reportáží, které vydala a analyzuje je. Cílem práce je ukázat, jaký styl je pro reportáže Brežné typický, jakou formu reportáže mají a jaká témata dominují. Práce vychází z těchto souboru reportáží: Karibischer Ball. Erzählungen und Reportagen, Falsche Mythen. Reportagen aus Mittel- und Osteuropa nach der Wende, Die Wölfinnen von Sernowodsk. Reportagen aus Tschetschenien, Die Sammlerin der Seelen. Unterwegs in meinem Europa. První část práce se zabývá teorií reportáže a historickým vývojem tohoto žánru v Německu a také migrační literaturou, do které se dílo Ireny Brežné řadí. Druhá část práce analyzuje jednotlivé soubory reportáží.. -- Abstract: The aim of this thesis is to introduce the writer Irena Brežná as a journalist. She was born in Czechoslovakia, but 1968 emigrated with the family to Switzerland, where she still lives and writes. The thesis focuses on her reports that she wrote. The main chapter of this paper analyses her books of reports. It shows the style, in which Brežná writes, the form of the reports and also the topics, which are significant for her. The analyzed books are: Karibischer Ball. Erzählungen und Reportagen, Falsche Mythen. Reportagen aus Mittel- und Osteuropa nach der Wende, Die Wölfinnen von Sernowodsk. Reportagen aus Tschetschenien, Die Sammlerin der Seelen. Unterwegs in meinem Europa. The first part of the paper deals with the theory of the report with its characteristic and history in Germany and also with the migrant literature, where the author belongs. The second part of the paper is the analysis of the reports.
