C. Clarka a Dark Star od A. D. Fostera, společně s povídkou "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" od Harlana Ellisona. Analytické kapitoly práce dokládají, že stroje, které jsou ve zkoumaných textech zobrazeny, byly zkaženy lidmi. Rovněž představí čtenáři žánr literatury science fiction a vysvětlí několik důležitých termínů, propojených s problematikou umělé inteligence. Práce se zamýšlí nad rolí sci-fi literatury, jak z hlediska kulturního, tak v některých případech - i z hlediska exaktních věd. V souvislosti s perspektivou zkoumaných děl si práce dále klade otázky o reálných možnostech vytvoření singulární umělé inteligence.. -- Abstract: This B.A. thesis analyzes the novels 2001: Space Odyssey by A. C. Clarke and Dark Star by A. D. Foster, together with a short story "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" by Harlan Ellison. It proves the intelligent machines as depicted in the three works were corrupted by humans and it discusses the nature of the very corruption. The thesis also introduces the reader to the science fiction literature. Moreover it elucidates several obscure terms connected with artificial intelligence. The thesis ponders the role of science fiction literature, while showing its cultural, and - in some cases - scientific value. In the perspective of the examined works, the thesis finally speculates about the real possibility of creating singular AI.
