Působili jako jednotná německá fronta, veškeré pokusy o narušení této jednoty vyvolávaly obavy. Česká menšina bojovala o prosazení českých škol, zprvu základních, později středních. Vznik Československa umožnil realizovat jejich snahy rychleji. Předkládaná bakalářská práce zpracovává vývoj gymnázia v Mostě v letech 1919-1938. Práce sleduje dění na škole, počty žáků a jejich sociální složení, učitelský sbor, finanční příjmy a výdaje školy.. -- Abstract: The area of Most was an area where the Germans lived, they controlled everything and as a nation they had the upper hand. They operated as a united German front and all attempts of disrupting this unity was causing concerns. The Czech minority fought for upholding of czech schools, in the beginning just the basic schools, later even secondary schools. The formation of Czechoslovakia has made their attempts faster and more successful. This bachelor's thesis is processing development of gymnasium in the city of Most in years 1919-1938. Thesis follows events at school, numbers of students and their social composition, teaching staff and financial situation.
