V práci popisuji zdravotní následky kouření, typologii kuřáků a metody odvykání kouření. V malé míře také nastiňuji historii kouření a složení cigaretového kouře. Dále seznamuji s vymezením pojmu edukace, s druhy a typy edukace a popisuji roly sestry edukátorky v praxi. V neposlední řadě se také zmiňuji o prevenci kouření v primární péči. V průzkumné části popisuji výzkum, jehož cílem je zjistit míru informovanosti populace o zdravotních rizicích kouření, zmapovat názory a postoje týkající se užívání tabákových výrobků a zjistit zda-li zdravotnický personál v primární péči dostatečně edukuje populaci o škodlivosti kouření. Analýza a interpretace získaných údajů poskytují informace o nízké úrovni informovanosti týkající se kouření a jeho důsledcích a také o nedostatečné edukaci populace. Průzkum proběhl pomocí dotazníkové metody. Výsledky dotazníkového šetření jsou pro přehlednost vyhodnoceny v tabulkách a grafech.. -- Abstract: Bachelor thesis topic ?Nurse education about smoking prevention and imminent risks? deals with issues of risk associated with the use of tobacco products. This thesis describes the health consequences of smoking and a typology of smokers and methods of smoking cessation. In a small extent I describe the history of smoking and the composition of cigarette smoke. Further I acquaint with the definition of the concept of education, the kinds and types of education and describe the role of nurse educator in practice. In the exploratory part I describe the research that aims to identify the level of awareness of population about the health risks of smoking, the views and opinions and attitudes regarding the use of tobacco products and to determine whether the medical staff in primary care enough educates the population on the harmfulness of smoking. Analysis and interpretation of obtained data provide information about the low level of awareness about smoking and its consequences and also the lack of education of the population. The survey was conducted using a questionnaire method.Results of the questionnaire are evaluated for clarity in tables and graphs.
