(některé barev.). -- Ved. práce Pavel Kopřiva. -- Abstract: V teoretické části své diplomové práce chci rozebrat a zmapovat přesahy současného českého umění a jeho polohu ?mezi? uměleckým akademickým prostředím a takzvanou laickou veřejností. Zajímá mě schopnost komunikace současného umění s širší veřejností. Z toho důvodu se zaměřuji především na fenomén, který se nazývá site specific. V pohledu do minulosti se dotknu akčního umění happeningů, performance, undergroundu a součástí práce bude také zamyšlení se nad významem propojování oblasti umění s oblastí sociální.. Název ?MEZI? vyjadřuje nezařaditelnost, mezioborovost, neukončenost, interakci a pohyb na hraně. Tedy většinu vlastností, které v sobě nese umění site-specific a zároveň je jednou ze zneklidňující odpovědí na otázku, kam patříme? Jsme anebo nejsme součástí většího celku? Jak sebe vnímáme ve veřejném prostoru? A může nám veřejný prostor za určitých okolností pomoct začlenit se a sdílet?. -- Abstract: would like to analyse and chart overlaps of the current czech art and its position "in between" the artistic academical ground and the so called lay public in the theoretical part of my thesis. I'm interested in the communication ability of the current art with the general public. For that reason, I'm especially focusing on a phenomenon which is called "site specific". Within the look in the past I will touch the action art of happenings, performance, underground. A thought over the importance of connecting the artistic area with the social area will be a part of this work. The title "In Between" represents the unclassifiability, the interdisciplinarity, the unendingness, the interaction and the movement at the edge. In short it represents most of the abilities of "site specific" and most of all it bears a disturbing answer to the question of where do we belong. Are we or are we not the part of bigger complex? How do we perceive ourselves in the public area? And can the public area help us integrate ourselves and share with the others under certain circumstances?.
