V teoretické části práce je objasněn pojem mentální retardace, dále je charakterizována etiologie mentální retardace a také uvedena klasifikace tohoto postižení. Následně je nastíněna problematika integrace osob s mentální retardací, jsou zde popsány jednotlivé typy integrace. Další kapitola teoretické části je věnována kvalitě života, jsou zde popsány její dimenze a také způsob jejího měření. Závěrečná kapitola se věnuje popisu služby podpora samostatného bydlení. Empirická část práce je zaměřena na sledování míry integrace mentálně postižených jedinců pomocí služby chráněné bydlení.. -- Abstract: This thesis is focused on the integration of persons with mental retardation. In the theoretical part, clarified the term mental retardation, is characterized by the etiology of mental retardation and a set of classification of disability. Subsequently deals with the problems of integration of persons with mental retardation, are described in various types of integration. Another theoretical chapter is devoted to quality of life, are also described its dimensions and its method of measurement. The final chapter is devoted to a description of support services for independent living. The research is focused on monitoring the level of integration of mentally disabled persons, sheltered housing with services.
