Jejím cílem je poskytnout široký přehled idiomů, které odkazují na různé části těla, zmapovat jejich rozšíření, významy a variace a zkoumat jejich jazykový a kulturní význam. Na základě existující literatury a příkladů bakalářská práce identifikuje společné vzorce a témata v těchto idiomech, vysleduje jejich původ a vývoj v průběhu času. Práce by měla přispět k hlubšímu pochopení role, kterou výrazy související s tělem hrají v každodenním jazyce a komunikaci. This thesis investigates body-related idioms in English, focusing on their prevalence, meanings, and variations. It aims to provide a broad overview of idioms that reference various parts of the body, exploring their linguistic and cultural significance. Through a survey of existing literature and examples, the study identifies common patterns and themes in these idioms, tracing their origins and examining how they have evolved over time.
