Reemigrace byla provedena především za účelem osídlení pohraničí, kde bylo v důsledku živelného odsunu Němců plno prázdných usedlostí a domů. První vlak s reemigranty, kteří se chystali usídlit na Žatecku, přijel počátkem února 1947. Cílem bakalářské práce je za použití metod orální historie zachytit vzpomínky pamětníků na život jejich rodin na Volyni a následné přestěhování se do Československa a aklimatizaci v nové zemi a začlenit tyto informace do širšího kontextu celé bakalářské práce. The bachelor thesis focuses on the re-emigration of the Volhynian Czechs in Žatecko and their subsequent acclimatization within Czechoslovakia. The re-emigration was primarily conducted with the aim of settling the borderlands, where numerous vacant homesteads and houses had become available due to the expulsion of Germans. The first train carrying re-emigrants intending to settle in the Žatec region arrived in early February 1947. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to use oral history methods to capture the memories of witnesses about their families' life in Volhynia and their subsequent move to Czechoslovakia and acclimatization in the new country, and to integrate this information into the broader context of the entire bachelor's thesis.
