Práce je členěna na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá pojmem emoce z lingvistického hlediska, jeho definicí, vlastnostmi a klasifikací emocí. Dále se věnuje prostředkům vyjádření emocionality v textu. Následující kapitola se zabývá tématem médií, jejich charakteristikami a typickými textovými žánry. V praktické části je provedena kontrastivní analýza z hlediska vyjádření emocionality v německých a českých článcích z online periodik (Die Welt, Sächsiche Zeitung, Süddeutsche Zeitung, iDnes.cz, Deník.cz) během pandemie Covid-19. Cílem této studie je poukázat na společné rysy i rozdíly ve vyjádření emocí v novinách sousední země a českých novinách. Dále tato práce zjišťuje, jaké emocionální prostředky jsou použity ve vybraných textech a zda existují rozdíly ve vyjádření emocionality v regionálním a celostátním tisku.. -- Abstract: The presented diploma thesis deals with the analysis of emotionality in German and Czech articles from online periodicals during the covid-19 pandemic. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with the concept of emotion from a linguistic perspective, its definition, characteristics, and classification of emotions. It further addresses the means of expressing emotionality in text. The following chapter deals with the topic of media, their characteristics, and typical text genres. In the practical part, a contrastive analysis is conducted in terms of the expression of emotionality in German and Czech articles from online periodicals during the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of this study is to highlight the common features and differences in the expression of emotionality in the newspapers of a neighbouring country and Czech newspapers. The objective of this thesis is to identify the emotional means used in selected texts and to determine whether there are differences in the expression of emotionality in regional and national press.
