Oponent Kristýna Rybová Abstract Diplomová práce je zaměřena na míru participace v Ústeckém kraji, tedy jakou formou a v jakém rozsahu se občané zapojují do řešení věcí veřejných a do rozhodovacích procesů ve vybraných obcích Ústeckého kraje. Zájmovým územím je Ústecký kraj, který odpovídá definici starého průmyslového regionu, a který byl v minulosti postižen poválečným odsunem Němců. V rámci diplomové práce jsou stanoveny tři výzkumné cíle: objasnit míru a způsoby participace ve vybraných obcích, objasnit, jaký potenciál představuje participace občanů pro lokální a regionální rozvoj a objasnit příčiny určité míry participace v kontextu využívaných participačních nástrojů. Z metodologického hlediska je práce založena na kvantitativním zhodnocení míry participace v jednotlivých obcích Ústeckého kraje, na jehož základě byly vybrány obce pro podrobnější výzkum, který je složen z polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se zástupci veřejné sféry a zástupci aktivních občanů. Z výsledkové části této práce lze vyvodit, že na míru participace má v Ústeckém kraji vliv populační velikost obce a její geografická poloha. V rámci Ústeckého kraje mají lepší předpoklady k vyšší míře participace venkovské obce, a to především ty, které svou geografickou polohou spadají do rekreačních a přírodně atraktivních oblastí. The thesis focuses on the level of participation in the Ústí nad Labem Region, i.e. in what form and to what extent citizens are involved in public affairs and decision-making processes in selected municipalities of the Ústí nad Labem Region. The area of interest is the Ústí Region, which corresponds to the definition of an old industrial region and which was affected by the post-war displacement of Germans. The thesis has three research objectives: to clarify the level and methods of participation in the selected municipalities, to clarify the potential of citizen participation for local and regional development and to explain the reasons for a certain level of participation in the context of the used participation tools. From the methodological point of view, the thesis is based on a quantitative assessment of the level of participation in individual municipalities of the Ústí nad Labem Region, on the basis of which municipalities were selected for more detailed research, which consists of semi-structured interviews with representatives of the public sphere and representatives of active citizens. From the results section of this thesis it can be concluded that the population size of a municipality and its geographical location have an impact on the level of participation in the Ústí nad Labem Region. Within the Ústí nad Labem Region, rural municipalities are better placed to have a higher level of participation, especially those that are geographically located in recreational and naturally attractive areas.
