(67 231 znaků). -- Ved. práce Zdeněk Valenta. -- Oponent Pavel Horký. -- Abstract: Anotace Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu motivu hrdinství a války v trilogii Pán prstenů, kterou napsal britský spisovatel a filolog John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. Téma hrdinství je zkoumáno nejprve obecně a poté z pohledu postavy Aragorna. Vedlejším cílem práce je pak představení autora a jeho díla. Součástí práce je výzkum mytologických a kulturních podkladů, které autora inspirovaly a ze kterých ve svém díle vycházel. Primárně zkoumaná témata hrdinství a války jsou následně demonstrována na konkrétních příkladech, stejně tak jako mytologické inspirace. Literární motivy jsou poté rozebrány s oporou v relevantní odborné literatuře.. -- Abstract: This bachelor's thesis focuses on the analysis of the theme of heroism and war in the Lord of the Rings trilogy written by the British writer and philologist John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. The theme of heroism is examined first in general and then from the perspective of the character Aragorn. A secondary aim of the thesis is then to introduce the author and his work. The thesis includes research into the mythological and cultural background that inspired the author and from which he based his work. The primary themes of heroism and war are then demonstrated through specific examples, as are the mythological inspirations. Literary themes are then discussed with support from relevant scholarly literature.
