Celá práce je rozdělena do pěti kapitol popisujících průběh první světové války a vznik Československa, včetně jeho vyhlášení v Kralupech, dále první léta mladé republiky, postupný rozkvět města a jeho proměny v druhé polovině 20. let, rozvoj průmyslu, kulturní dění, sociální věci, postup při řešení důsledků krize a v neposlední řadě pak události v roce 1938. To vše pak dohromady tvoří ucelenou syntézu spojující veškeré dostupné zdroje, jež poskytuje ucelený pohled na Kralupy nad Vltavou v dané době.. -- Abstract: The subject of the thesis entitled "Kralupy nad Vltavou in the period from 1918 to 1938" is the description of major events in the history of the town of Kralupy nad Vltavou taking place in the period of the first Czechoslovak Republic, from the moment when it was declared until the moment it ended. The entire thesis is subdivided in five chapters describing the course of the First World War and the establishment of Czechoslovakia, including its declaration in Kralupy nad Vltavou, going on to describe the first years of the early republic, the gradual flourishing of the town and its transformations in the second half of 1920's, its industrial development, cultural events, social affairs, the procedure adopted to tackle the consequences of the economic crisis and, last but not least, the events of 1938. All of the above represents a coherent synthesis bringing together all the available sources, thus providing a comprehensive view of Kralupy nad Vltavou in the period in question.
