Vedoucí práce Barbora Řebíková Abstract Práce má za úkol prozkoumat vztah umění a poznání tak, jak se jím zabývá estetický kognitivismus. Zároveň přiblíží i anglosaskou a analytickou estetiku, ze které estetický kognitivismus vychází. Práce se opírá o text Beryse Gauta, který texty a knihy filozofů zabývajících se souvislostí umění a poznání přehledně shrnuje. Je rozdělena na téma epistemické, tedy otázku, zda umění poskytuje poznání, a téma estetické, které se zabývá tím, zda kognitivní hodnota díla ovlivňuje hodnotu estetickou. Práce nabízí jak argumenty potvrzující kognitivismus, tak anti-kognitivní námitky. Je zde přítomný výčet znalostí, které nám umění může poskytovat. Jedna část se také věnuje kognitivismu Nelsona Goodmana. Práce přibližuje téma estetického kognitivismu českým čtenářům, protože toto téma se objevuje spíše v anglicky mluvících zemích. The task of the thesis is to explore the relationship between art and knowledge as it is dealt with by aesthetic cognitivism. At the same time, the work also introduces the Anglo-Saxon and analytical aesthetics from which aesthetic cognitivism is based. The work is based on the text of Berys Gaut, who summarizes the texts and books of philosophers dealing with the context of art and knowledge.The text is divided into the topic of epistemic, ie the question of whether art provides knowledge, and the topic of aesthetic, which deals with whether the cognitive value of a work affects aesthetic value. The thesis offers both arguments confirming cognitivism and anti-cognitive objections. There is a list of knowledge that art can provide. One part of the work also deals with Nelson Goodman's cognitivism.
