Oponent Radek Fukala Abstract Těšínské Slezsko se nachází ve východní části České republiky. Z hlediska historie je to jeden z nejzajímavějších regionů, neboť byl o něj veden spor s Polskem. Největší spor vyvstal po ukončení první světové války v roce 1918 a pokračoval až do roku 1920. Jelikož se Těšínsko v průběhu 19. století stalo významnou ekonomickou a průmyslovou oblastí, tak se nově utvořenému československému i polskému státu jevilo jako velmi cenná oblast. V důsledku stále probíhajících konfliktů mezi místním obyvatelstvem a také členy československé i polské vlády byl mezinárodně vyhlášen plebiscit. Obraz plebiscitních příprav je v dnešní době dohledatelný v dobovém českém i polském tisku, v agitačních materiálech plebiscitních komisí. Teschen Silesia is one of the most specific historical region in south-eastern part of Czech Republic and in south-western Poland. This part of our country is very various considering historical importance. Equally as another parts of Czech Republic Silesia has experienced a lot of conflicts along centuries. About the fact, that Silesia´s neighbours are Polish, apparently these international relationships were not very warm from the beginning. The biggest problem between these two nations arised in 20th century, right after the First World War in 1918. Main reasons of this conflict were economical, national and territorial disagreements. Between 1919-1920 both countries came with a concept of referendum which was suggested by international politics. This work is focussed exactly on problems about referendum. Referendum is electoral vote on exact area with established principles. Both states had a referendum committee which tried to realize that. The most important sources are agitation brochures, newspaper articles and contemporary literature. These sources are important for understanding of situation in Teschen Silesia in 1919-1920.
