Práce se dělí na dvě části. První část je teoretická a ta zahrnuje anatomii mozku, jeho složení a funkce jednotlivých částí. Co je pojem mikrocefalie, jeho rozdělení, příčiny, příznaky, rizikové faktory, diagnostiku, léčbu a prevenci tohoto onemocnění. Dále definuje pojem domácí péče, její formy a rozsah, kriteria a její financování. V teoretické části se rovněž zmiňuji o zdravotním a sociálním handicapu ze strany rodiny. Dále jsem popisovala jak náročné je pro rodiče péče o postižené dítě z hlediska jejich vlastního života. Ve své práci popisuji fáze vyrovnávání se s postižením dítěte. Praktická část je provedena kvalitativní metodou pomocí polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s rodiči, kteří pečují o dítě s mikrocefalií. Formu, kterou jsem si pro získávání informací vybrala, je z důvodu velmi citlivého tématu. Dotazník by nebyl k tomuto tématu vhodný, neboť při rozhovoru se mohou více uvolnit a svěřit se jak náročná péče o dítě s postižením je. Přestože je to pro ně velice zatěžující a choulostivá záležitost, ale i přesto velice ochotně spolupracovali a odpovídali na všechny otázky, bez jakéhokoliv problému. Výsledky mého výzkumu, dopadly dle mého očekávání. Péče o postižené je pro pečujícího opravdu náročná a to jak po fyzické, tak i po psychické stránce. Je to situace, se kterou se rodič i rodina musí smířit a nejedná se o jeden den, ale o celý život, což je obrovská zátěž. Je to i velmi náročné z hlediska financí. This bachelor thesis is focused on specifics of nursing home care for a child with microcephaly. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical part and includes the anatomy of the brain, what it is composed of and furthermore the functions of each part of the brain, what is the microcephaly, its distribution, causes and symptoms, including risk factors, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of this disease. Further, the term home care, its form and extent, also the its criteria and financing. I have also mentioned in the theoretical part the health and social handicaps for the family. I also described how difficult it is for parents to care for a disabled child in terms of their own lives. Furthermore I describe the phases, which parents come through, when dealing with the child's handicap. The practical part is the qualitative method using a semi-structured interview with the parents who care for a child with microcephaly. I have chosen this form of obtaining informations, because of the very sensitive topic, which microcephaly surely is. The questionnaire would not be appropriate for this topic, and parents can be more relaxed during the interview and really describe how demanding the care of a child with disabilities is. For parents, it is very burdensome and delicate theme, but even that, didn´t stop them, to cooperate and answer all my questions really willingly. The results of my research are the same as my expectations. Caring for people with this kind of desease is for the ones who are looking after them really challenging both physically and mentally. It is a thing with which parents and even the whole family must accept and arrange accordingly for it and be prepared, that it is not a thing, that will last for a one day but for a lifetime, which is a huge burden for all of them.
