Dřevo jako materiál, který je dnes velmi moderní a nabízí spoustu možností, je hlavním materiálem i v mé diplomové práci. Svět designu se k tomuto starému přírodnímu materiálu vrací a dřevo je opět trendem v nábytkářství. Ve své práci ho kombinuji s čalouněním, které nabízí větší pohodlí a komfort. V teoretické části se zabývám čekárnami a jejich vybavením. Nejvíce pozornosti věnuji sedacímu nábytku, který je nedílnou součástí všech čekáren. U sedacího nábytku mapuji nejvýznamnější počiny v této oblasti. Zabývám se oblastí ergonomie, která jde ruku v ruce s designem. Také se dotýkám tématu samotného interiéru čekáren a jeho náležitosti, které by v těchto místnostech neměli chybět. Prostor dávám i teorii barev, materiálům a inspiračnímu designu. Mapuji současný stav čekáren v okrese Rokycany s doplněním o krátký průzkum spokojenosti se stavem čekáren, a shromažďuji nabídku trhu v oblasti sedacího nábytku do veřejných interiérů. V praktické části konkrétně popisuji a odůvodňuji postup a volbu jednotlivých prvků (materiál, barva, tvar). This thesis describes the design of solitary piece of furniture designed especially into the public interiors, such as waiting rooms. Wood is the main material in my thesis, this materiál is now a very modern and it offers plenty of options. The world of design returns back to this old and natural material and it is again a trend in furniture making. In my thesis I combine wood with cushioning, which offers greater comfort and convenience. The theoretical part of my thesis deals with waiting areas and their equipment. Most of the attention is devoted to seating furniture, which is an integral part of all waiting rooms. I map the most significant achievements in the area of seating furniture. I deal also with ergonomics, which goes hand in hand with the design. I have included also the topic of the interior of waiting rooms and it's requisites that should not be missed in this type of rooms. I also describe the theory of colors, materials and inspiratory design. I explores the current state of waiting areas in the district of Rokycany added of a short survey of satisfaction with the state of waiting rooms. At the same time I collect the offer of the furniture in the area of seating in public interiors. Finaly in the practical part of my thesis I describe the procedure of creation of a piece of furniture into the waiting rooms and justify a selection of all the individual elements (material, color, shape).
