Nejprve se soustředí na popsání politické a společenské situace před založením ODS. V další části popisuje období vzniku strany a změny v politickém uspořádání země. Poté se práce věnuje úkolům a cílům, kterých chtěla strana při politické transformaci dosáhnout. Poslední část se zabývá posouzením a zhodnocením tohoto procesu ve zmíněném období.. -- Abstract: The bachelor thesis "ODS (Civic Democratic Party) - Formation of a political party, that was supposed to ensure the political transition in the period 1991 1997" aims to assess the success and failures of ODS during the transformation of the Czech Republic in the years between 1991 and 1997. Firstly focusing on the political and social situation prior to formation of ODS, the thesis then describes the period of the formation of the party and the changes in the political structure of the country. After further analyzing the tasks and goals the party sought to achieve during the political transformation, the last part of the thesis follows up with the assessment and evaluation of this process during the mentioned period.
