Note Lic. smloua Abstract Tato bakalářská práce s názvem Místní Agenda 21 jako nástroj udržitelného rozvoje měst a obcí se zabývá charakteristikou tohoto projektu ve snaze zjistit, zda je zvolen jako vhodný nástroj udržitelného rozvoje měst a obcí. Součástí práce je analýza realizace místní agendy ve dvou městech, které jsou do agendy zapojeny již několik let a realizují ji na pokročilejší úrovni, jsou to Ústí nad Labem a Vsetín. U těchto měst jsou vzájemně porovnány ukazatele jednotlivých oblastí udržitelného rozvoje (ekonomická, sociální a environmentální), pomocí kterých je možné měřit úspěšnost zvolených strategií. Toto porovnání slouží ke zjištění, zda došlo během zapojení obou měst do projektu Místní Agenda 21 ke zlepšení v oblasti udržitelného rozvoje. Práce také obsahuje vysvětlení podstaty udržitelného rozvoje a rozbor vývoje počtu místních agend v České republice od roku 2005, kdy u nás agenda začala oficiálně fungovat. This thesis named Local Agenda 21 as an instrument of sustainable development of cities, towns and villages is engaged in characteristic of this project to find out if this project is suitable instrument of sustainable development of cities, towns and villages. Part of the thesis is implementation of local agenda analysis in two towns - Ústí nad Labem and Vsetín, which have been linked to the agenda for a few years and have been realizing the agenda on an advanced level. For those cities, individual indicators of sustainable development fields (economic, social and environmental) are being compared with each other. With the help of the indicators it is possible to measure the success of the chosen strategies. This comparison serves to a finding, if there has been an improvement in the field of sustainable development during both cities being involved into the project of Local Agenda 21.This thesis also includes an explanation of the sustainable development principle and the analysis of development of the local agenda numbers in the Czech Republic since the year 2005, when the agenda started to work here officially.
