Podvyživené obyvatelstvo, na které mapa poukazuje, je evidováno mezinárodními organizacemi a programy. Nejrozsáhlejší organizací je Organizace spojených národů, která má pod sebou další specializované agentury jako FAO, WFP, IFAD a další. Ty se snaží regulovat hlad ve světě, jak finanční, tak potravinovou pomocí. Organizace OSN pro výživu a zemědělství (FAO) podporuje zejména rozvoj venkova a trvale udržitelné zemědělství. Zabývá se ale i problematikou lesnictví a rybolovu. Mezinárodní fond pro hospodářský rozvoj (IFAD) poskytuje finanční prostředky pro zemědělské projekty na zmírnění chudoby a zkvalitnění výživy a Světový potravinový program (WFP) naopak dodává potravinovou pomoc. Jelikož je WFP závislý na darech od členských států, vytvořil ve spolupráci s FAO a statistickou databází FAOSTAT mapu, která by měla přiblížit informace o aktuálním stavu hladu na světě. Mapa tak poukazuje na místa, kde je největší podíl podvyživeného obyvatelstva a kam by měla putovat pomoc např. i nevládních organizací či nadací. V hlavní části práce se zaměřím na historii mapy hladu. Poukážu na ty, které jsou již zpracovány a porovnám rozdílnost nebo podobnost v průběhu jejich vývoje. V další kapitole definuji, jakou metodikou je mapa sestavována a jaké statistické údaje se shromažďují, pro její vytvoření. Dále pomocí vybraných dat a informačního systému GIS vytvořím nové mapy operačních výdajů organizací, které by měly korespondovat s výsledky map o podvyživeném obyvatelstvu. Na závěr zjistím, jaký má mapa hladu vliv ve společném boji OSN proti hladovění. The fundemental topic for my bachelor thesis is a hunger map and the problems arising from it. Population suffering from malnutrition, which is shown on the map, is noted in the evidence of international organizations and programs. One of the biggest organizations is the United Nations Organization (UN), which has specialized agencies such as the FAO, WFP, IFAD and others. These agencies thrive to regulate hunger in the world using financial as well as food aid. UN?s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) specializes in developing the countryside and sustainable agriculture. However it also engages with forestry and fishing. The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) provides financial aid to certain agricultural projects to ease the poverty and upgrade the quality of nutrition. The World Food Program (WFP) on the other side provides actual food aid. Since WFP depends upon the generous donations from member countries, it produced a map, with the help of FAO and the statistic database FAOSTAT. This map should present further information about the present hunger status in the world and therefore show places, which have the biggest number of malnutrition, indicating specific places where aid should be send not only from the UN but also from other organizations and foundations. In my work, I shall pay special attention to the history of the hunger map. I will show the differences and similarities of the previously used maps. I will define the gathered statistics and the method used in producing such a map in the next chapter. I shall also produce new maps using chosen information and the GIS system, which should correspond with the results of the population malnutrition maps.
