Věnuje se historii vybraného regionu a procesu, jakým se sem islám dostal a také podílu muslimů na obyvatelstvu v druhé polovině 20. století. Především na základě studia literárních pramenů, ale i na základě rozhovoru s obyvatelem regionu, se snaží o zhodnocení každodenního života muslimů a jejich zvyků. Zaměřuje se na architekturu, bydlení, způsob oblékání, stravování, rodinný život a další skutečnosti, spojené s náboženstvím a místní kulturou. Zabývá se také problematikou postavení ženy v islámu a omezeními, které z této otázky vyplývají. This paper focuses on Islam in Northern Africa. The work attends to history of designated region and process, during which Islam get into the area and also the ratio of Muslims within the population in second part of 20th century. Especially on the basis of studying literature, but also on the basis of interview with inhabitant of this region, the paper tries to estimate everyday life of muslims and their customs. This work adresses architecture, habitation, way of dressing, eating, family life and another facts connected with religion and local culture.
