Getting familiar with the term "film noir" - presuppositions of its origin, genre specifics and stylistic complexity. Influences of America's social and cultural climate in 1940's and the first half of 1950's. Emphasis will be laid on describing typical archetypes of characters appearing in film noir, especially women, as well as on the analysis of visual aspects of chosen movies from the above mentioned era. Depicting of moral decay, scepticism and fatalism, which has been the genre's cornerstone up to now, will not be passed by without a notion. Another responsib.
