Událost osvobození byla tak silným momentem, že se hluboce zapsala do paměti jejích svědků. Práce využívá především metodu orální historie a její hlavní část tvoří redakce rozhovorů s pamětníky. Kromě toho práce obsahuje teoretické aspekty orální historie a postupy autora při realizaci projektu. Odborná literatura a prameny v práci figurují ve formě doplnění rozhovorů. Průběh a výsledky rozhovorů jsou shrnuty v závěru práce. Do přílohy jsou vloženy mapy a obrazové galerie dobových fotografií a pomníků osvobození. The thesis deals with the liberation of the Czech lands in 1945 on the basis of the memories of witnesses. This liberation was an event which has been deeply graven on minds of witnesses. The thesis uses primarily oral history methods. The major, practical, part of the thesis has been created by edition of the interviews. Besides this, the thesis includes theoretical aspects of oral history methods and other methods which have been used by the author during of the thesis elaboration. Professional literature and other sources perform there just like support material for the interviews. The interviews´ process and their results have been resumed in the conclusion of the thesis.
