Analýza písní (Go The Distance, A Whole New World, If I Never Knew You, So Close, Out There) po stránce hudební i textové.. -- Abstract: My diploma thesis is focused on work of a contemporary american composer Alan Menken. In the first part I´m trying to describe main features of Menken´s life. In the next chapter readers are introduced into works of the author and his most famous film music for cartoons (Hercules,The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Enchanted) and musicals (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Shop of Horrors) as well. The next chapter presents didactic usage of songs (Go The Distance, Out There, A Whole New World, If I Never Knew You, So Close) in the classes at the elementary school.. The final part contains lyrics and music analysis of the songs. In the suplement there are sheets of music arranged for piano/vocal/guitar and lyrics of that songs, all are translated to Czech.
