Abstract Cílem práce je zjistit, zda alternativní hodnocení může být použitelné pro výuku žáků prvního stupně základní školy v podmínkách běžné jazykové tříd, a zda může pozitivně přispět k jejich učení se cizímu jazyku. Práce představuje koncept hodnocení a jeho historický vývoj a zabývá se pojetím alternativního hodnocení. Důraz je kladen na techniky sebehodnocení, vzájemné hodnocení a hraní krátkých scének. V aplikovaném výzkumu byly potvrzeny stanovené hypotézy a bylo prokázáno, že vybrané techniky alternativního hodnocení jsou využitelné pro potřeby běžné jazykové třídy a pozitivně ovlivňují přístup žáků prvního stupně základní školy k učení se cizímu jazyku. The aim of this thesis is to investigate whether alternative assessment would be practicable for teaching young learners in a regular language classroom and whether it positively contributes to their language learning. The thesis introduces the domain of assessment and its historical development and presents the concept of alternative assessment. Emphasis is laid on the techniques of self-assessment, peer-assessment and role-play. The research is presented in the analytical part of the thesis, in which the set hypotheses are confirmed. The research has investigated that the selected techniques of alternative assessment are practicable for the needs of regular classroom language learning and positively contribute to young learners´ attitude to language learning.
