Note Diplomová práce má rozpadlou vazbu, je ve vázacích deskách Abstract Diplomová práce se zabývá historickým vývojem hodu oštěpem jakožto samostatné atletické disciplíny. V práci jsou popsány jednotlivé etapy vývoje této disciplíny. Cílem práce je na základě studia odborné literatury chronologicky uspořádat a popsat jednotlivé etapy vývoje hodu oštěpem z pohledu charakteristiky jednotlivých časových období, změn techniky, pořádání závodů a změn pravidel, specifikace oštěpu, vývoje výkonnosti a z hlediska významných osob, které měly klíčový vliv na rozvoj disciplíny hod oštěpem. Hlavní část práce je členěna do chronologicky uspořádaných časových obdobích, kapitol. Každá z těchto částí je pak dále dělena na jednotlivé podkapitoly, které popisují jednotlivé části dané problematiky. V práci jsou popsány rozhodující faktory, které se největší měrou podílely na formování podmínek pro rozvoj hodu oštěpem. Tyto faktory jsou uspořádány dle časových období. Dále diplomová práce předkládá přehled odborné literatury a internetových odkazů pro studium dané problematiky. Tyto odkazy mohou sloužit jako cenný zdroj informací pro všechny, kteří se o hod oštěpem zajímají, a kromě nich mohou pomoci dokreslit vývoj hodu oštěpem také statistiky světových rekordů a výsledků všech finálových závodů v hodu oštěpem z olympijských her, mistrovství světa a mistrovství Evropy do roku 2006, které jsou připojeny v přílohách. This thesis is concerned with the historical development of the javelin throw as a separate athletic discipline. In a whole it describes every single period of the javelin throw evolution. The main purpose of this thesis is to chronologically order and describe (based on the technical bibliography) every single era of the javelin throw advancement, which was reached mainly by the characteristics of time periods, characteristics of the technique, by specification of the javelin, by description of holding of competitions and the modification of regulations, by depiction of javelin performance development and through the presentation of prominent athletes of our history which had the crucial importance for the javelin throw discipline. The main part of the thesis is divided into chapters, which are arranged according to the time periods. Each of these chapters further contains specific subchapters which are always devoted to a single question of this matter. In the thesis there are described the main factors which mostly determined the conditions in the javelin throw progress. These factors are ordered chronologically as well. And finally, the thesis brings the list of the technical bibliography and the internet links for the further research on this topic. These links can serve as a useful source of information for all who are interested in the javelin throw discipline. And so can the statistics of the world records and the results of all final competitions in the javelin throw on the Olympic Games, on the World championships and the European championships until 2006, which are attached as appendices.
