Název a text práce v anglickém jazyce Abstract Tato práce studuje změnu v reprezentaci zobrazení upíra v anglofonní fikci od opovrženíhodného a strašlivého k sympatickému a milému. Tato práce začíná přehledem reprezentace upíra v průběhu historie, zatímco empirická část se zaměřuje na analýzu upířího protagonisty v románu Anne Rice Interview s upírem (1976). Rysy, které jsou v této práci zkoumány, jsou citlivost, intelektualismus a komplexní morálka hlavního hrdiny. This thesis examines the change in the representation of the portrayal of the vampire in Anglophone fiction from despicable and monstrous toward sympathetic and likeable. The thesis opens with an overview of the representations of the vampire throughout history, and the analytic chapters focus on character analysis of the vampiric protagonist in Anne Rice's novel Interview with the Vampire (1976).
