Vedoucí práce Jiří Chotaš Abstract V práci se zabývám významným filozofem Francisem Fukuyamou a jeho tezí o konci dějin. V práci nejprve představím nástin jeho časopiseckého článku The End of History? Následně se pak budu zabývat společnými znaky Francise Fukuyamy a Georga Wilhelma Friedricha Hegela, ze kterých samotný Fukuyama vycházel. Poté se přesouvám na samotnou knihu Fukuyamy s název Konec dějin a poslední člověk, kde se pokusím postihnout hlavní myšlenky, které v knize popsal. Dále se budu zabývat ohlasem a celkovou recepcí, které Fukuyamova kniha vyvovala. Zde budu převážně čerpat od Iana Jacksona a Jasona Xidiase, kteří se zabývali celkovou analýzou knihy Francise Fukuyamy Konec dějin a poslední člověk, kde zjistím, jestli teze Fukuyamy o konci dějin stále platí nebo byla vyvrácena. A v závěru mé práce se podíváme do 21. století, zda Fukuyamova kniha stále vyvolává ohlasy i po tolika letech. Za přínos práce lze považovat shrnutí hlavních ohlasů, jež Fukuyamova teze o konci dějin vyvolala. In this thesis I deal with the prominent philosopher Francis Fukuyama and his thesis about the end of history. In the thesis I first present an outline of his journal article The End of History? I will then discuss the commonalities between Francis Fukuyama and Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, which Fukuyama himself drew upon. I will then move on to Fukuyama's book itself, The End of History and the Last Man, where I will attempt to capture the main ideas he described in the book. Next, I will discuss the response and overall reception that Fukuyama's book has developed. Here, I will mainly draw from Ian Jackson and Jason Xidias' overall analysis of Francis Fukuyama's The End of History and the Last Man to see if Fukuyama's thesis of the end of history is still valid or has been refuted. And at the end of my thesis, I will look into the 21st century to see if Fukuyama's book still resonates after all these years.
