Title statement Vliv UV záření a chemického roubování na změnu povrchových vlastností polymerních materiálů / Viktorie Neubertová Personal name Neubertová, Viktorie, (dissertant) Phys.des. 78 listů : ilustrace, grafy, schémata Note Vedoucí práce Zdeňka Kolská. Oponent Václav Švorčík Abstract Diplomová práce se věnuje studiu povrchových vlastností polymerních materiálů před a po povrchové modifikaci. Modifikace povrchů polymerních materiálů proběhly ve dvou krocích: (i) působením UV záření o vlnových délkách 254 nebo 365 nm a následně (ii) chemickým roubováním alaninu, leucinu a kurkuminu, u kterých byl studován i vliv koncentrace. Testovanými polymerními materiály byly polyethylentereftalát (PET), polyetheretherketon (PEEK), polyvinylchlorid (UPVC), polyvinylidenchlorid (PVDC), polyethylen s nízkou molekulovou hmotností (LDPE), polyethylen s ultravysokou molekulovou hmotností (UHMWPE) a dva typy celulózy. K charakterizaci povrchů testovaných polymerních materiálů před a po jednotlivých krocích modifikace byly použity metody: (i) goniometrie pro stanovení smáčivosti povrchů, (ii) elektrokinetická analýza pro studium povrchové chemie, náboje a polarity, (iii) skenovací elektronová mikroskopie (SEM) pro získání informací o topografii povrchů, (iv) Brunauerova-Emmettova-Tellerova (BET) metoda pro stanovení velikosti povrchu a Barrettův-Joinerův-Halendův (BJH) model pro stanovení porozity materiálů a (v) rentgenová fotoelektronová spektroskopie pro stanovení prvkového složení povrchů. Na vybraných substrátech byly provedeny antibakteriální testy. The Master thesis deals with the study of surface properties of polymeric materials before and after surface modification. Surfaces modification of polymeric materials was performed in two steps: (i) by UV radiation at wavelengths of 254 or 365 nm followed by (ii) chemical grafting of alanine, leucine and curcumin, for these compounds the effect of concentration have been also studied. Tested polymeric materials were the following: polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyetherether ketone (PEEK), polyvinyl chloride (UPVC), polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC), low molecular weight polyethylene (LDPE), ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), and two types of cellulose. Surface properties of tested polymer materials before and after the modification steps were characterized using: (i) goniometry to determine surface wettability, (ii) electrokinetic analysis for surface chemistry, charge and polarity studies, (iii) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to obtain surface topography information, (iv) Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method for study of surface area and Barrett-Joiner-Halenda (BJH) model for surface porosity determination and (v) X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to determine chemical composition of surfaces. Antibacterial tests were performed on selected substrates. Another responsib. Kolská, Zdeňka, 1969- (thesis advisor)
