Prvním bodem mé práce je samotný vznik této variace Anglického jazyka. Objevují se zde tři základní hypotézy, zabývající se samotným počátkem tohoto jazyka. Dalším bodem mé práce je teoretické popsání lexikálních a gramatických jevů Afro-Americké Angličtiny a v praktické části jsou tyto jevy předvedeny na pozadí mnou provedeného výzkumu ve Spojených Státech Amerických. Výzkum se skládá z pořízení a následné analýzy nahrávek rozhovorů s Afro-Americkými obyvateli jihu Spojených Států. Ke zmapování názoru širší veřejnosti, na toto dané téma, jsem zvolila výzkum formou dotazníku.. -- Abstract: The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to introduce the topic of African American Vernacular English. In the first part of my thesis, the main focus is on the discussion about the origin of this English variety. I elaborate on the three main hypotheses dealing with the question of African American Vernacular origin. The second part deals with the lexicological features of the language, such as syntax and lexicology. The practical part consists of the analysis of data collected in the field, which consist of recorded interviews. Features in the practical part are described in the order set out in the theoretical part. To map the public opinion a survey was conducted. My field study took place in the southern part of the United States and respondents were native African Americans.
