V úvodu práce jsem se snažila zasadit podnik pomocí geografických charakteristik do geografického prostředí. Dále je v práci popsán vývoj teplárenství v Čechách, na který navazuje historie Teplárny Trmice a její transformace ke společnosti Dalkia Česká republika, a.s. Hlavní část se zabývá současným stavem teplárny, jednotlivých aspektů v letech 1994 - 2006 a distribucí tepla v krajském městě Ústí nad Labem. O nevýrobní činnosti pak pojednává část "Podpora podnikání v Ústeckém kraji. Závěrečnou část práce jsem věnovala, jako studentka pedagogické fakulty, využití této diplomové práce v pedagogické praxi. Text je doplněn tabulkami, grafy a mapami.V příloze je přiložen slovníček odborných pojmů. This thesis focuses on the Heating plant in Trmice, at present one of the divisions of the company Dalkia, Czech republic. In the opening part of the thesis I attempted to set the Trmice Heating plant in the geographic environment according to the geographic characteristics. Later in the thesis, the development of the water heating industry in the Czech republic is described, followed by the history of the Heating plant in Trmice and its transformation in the company Dalkia, Czech republic. The central part of the thesis describes the present situation of the Trmice Heating plant, with special focus on several particular aspects of the hot water production in Trmice in the years 1994-2006. This part concerns itself also with the distribution of the heat in the capital city of the region, Ústí nad Labem. The last part of the thesis called "Support of the business in Ústí region`` focuses on the non-productional activities of the company. As a student of the Faculty of Education, I dedicated the final part of the thesis the exploitation of my research in the educational use. The text is accompanied by charts, graphs and maps.
