Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit do jaké míry jsou ženy informovány o tomto onemocnění a zda mají dostatečné znalosti v oblasti prevence na kterou se klade největší důraz. Bakalářská práce se skládá z části teoretické a části praktické. V teoretické části je stručně popsána anatomie prsu, vznik zhoubného nádoru, příčiny karcinomu prsu, příznaky, četnost tohoto onemocnění a především směřuje k možnostem prevence, kterými se v bakalářské práci nejvíce zabývám. V praktické části je proveden průzkum prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření ke zjištění rozsahu informovanosti jednotlivých žen o karcinomu prsu.
