Práce je věnována třem problémovým celkům. Prvním celkem jsou teoretická východiska, která vysvětlují pojmy: zdraví a zdravotnictví, soukromý a veřejný sektor, veřejné finance a veřejný zájem, vztah mezi financováním a poskytováním služeb, zdravotní pojištění a v poslední části pojem zdravotní politika. Předmětem druhého celku je porovnání České republiky a Rakouska, kde je srovnání zaměřeno na organizační strukturu, financování zdravotní péče, systém zdravotního pojištění, výdaje na zdravotnictví a náklady na zdravotnictví. Důležitou roli v této části mají grafy a tabulky, které jsou součástí textu. Vyjadřují vývoj a představu o dané situaci. Poslední částí práce je závěr, ve kterém je uveden pohled na zdravotnictví v České republice a pohled na zdravotnictví v Rakousku.. -- Abstract: The dissertation is focused on the comparison and contrast of funding of the health care systems in the Czech republic and Austria in 2002 - 2006. The work is divided into three main parts. The first part of the work is the theory base for interpreting the concepts of health and health care, private and public sector, public finances and public interest, the relationship between funding and providing services, health insurance and also health policy. The second part of the work deals with comparing and contrasting the organizational structure, the funding of the health care, the health insurance systems, the health care expenditure and the costs of the health care in both countries. Tables and figures, which are included in the text, play a very important role in this part of the work. They express the development and the notion of existing situation. The final part of the work is conclusion, where the overall view of the health care systems in the Czech republic and Austria is stated.
