Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem cestovní ruchu v Libereckém kraji. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část, kdy teoretická část charakterizuje cestovní ruch, vysvětluje jeho základní pojmy a popisuje podmínky pro jeho rozvoj. Praktická část práce obsahuje vývoj cestovního ruchu a jeho zhodnocení v Libereckém kraji v období let 2000 - 2007 zejména z pohledu turistické nabídky a poptávky. Pozornost je hlavně věnována analýze vývoje kapacit ubytovacích zařízení, druhému bydlení a návštěvnosti účastníků cestovního ruchu.. -- Abstract: The turism industry is an important sector, which has become vital for economy of particular regions, towns and the municipality in the Liberec Region. The subject of my thesis is the evolution of the turism industry in the Liberec Region. The thesis is diveded into two parts, one is theoretical and the other is practical. In the theoretical part attention is given to the characteristics of the turism industry and account for its basic terms. The practical part contains the development and the evaluation of the turism industry in the years 2000-2007 in the Liberec Region. This is done from review of supply and demands of the industry. The main attention is given to the analysis of accomodation capacity, alternate accomodation and visitor rate of the area.
